Our Vision

Our vision is for Western to be a health-promoting campus that prioritizes a culture of well-being, rooted in health equity. This means every student has access to environments and resources that enhance their holistic health. We see this work as collaborative, requiring the effort and engagement of our entire campus community.

What does it mean to be resilient?

Resilience is the ability to bounce back through problem-solving and the ability to own our decisions. Being self-reliant does not reduce one's ability to be resilient, as long as we can recognize when we need help and we seek the necessary support.

Anyone can learn to be resilient. Building resilience helps you learn new behaviors, thoughts, and actions to handle stress, adversity, and trauma. We can help you learn how to be resilient and navigate life challenges!
